Last updated: 18 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Mavericks collects through this website, why, who we share it with and your rights.
1. Who we are
Mavericks (company registration in progress), Kaunas, Lithuania ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Contact for anything about your data: privacy@mavericksintown.com.
2. What we collect
When you fill in a form on this website we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, organisation, position, country, and the options you choose (for example, what you are interested in).
Some forms also ask for optional details: phone number, website, citizenship, current country, planned timing of a move, preferred language, and how you heard about us. You do not have to give optional details.
We also collect limited technical data needed to run the website securely (such as your IP address and browser type), and anonymous visit statistics through Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
To answer your enquiry and take the steps you ask for before any contract: legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
To send you news and updates about Mavericks: legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time.
To run, secure and improve the website and our events, and to keep business records: legal basis is our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), balanced against your rights.
To meet legal obligations, such as accounting, tax, sanctions screening and anti-money-laundering checks where they apply: legal basis is legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
5. Transfers outside the EU
Some recipients, including Barota, are in the United Kingdom. These transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the United Kingdom or, where that does not apply, on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client.
Marketing: until you withdraw your consent.
Client and accounting records: for as long as Lithuanian accounting and tax law requires.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email privacy@mavericksintown.com.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we use your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija) or to the data protection authority where you live or work.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
